Matka-Launokorpi, cancellation terms:
Our trips are subject to the General Package Travel Terms and the special terms of Kaisa Launokorpi Oy.
General package travel terms:
These contract terms have been negotiated between the Association of Finnish Travel Agents (SMAL) and the Finnish Consumer Ombudsman. They apply to agreements made on or after July 1, 2018. The terms are based on the mandatory provisions of the EU Directive on Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements (EU 2015/2302) and the Finnish Act on Package Travel (901/2017).

Matka-Launokorpi special terms and conditions:
Cancellation terms:
The traveller may cancel the trip without a specific reason as follows:
1-day domestic trips within the country:
Trips can be cancelled free of charge up to 10 days before departure. If cancelled less than 10 days before the trip, 100% of the price will be charged. If the trip has already been paid for and is cancelled at least 10 days in advance, a €25 per person service fee will be withheld from the refund.
Trips of 2 days or longer:
If the trip lasts at least 2 days, it can be cancelled free of charge up to 40 days before departure. If the cancellation is made 39–20 days before departure, 50% of the trip price will be charged or any non-refundable costs (e.g., hotel, ferry travel, etc.). If cancelled 19–10 days before the start of the trip, 80% of the trip price will be charged. If cancelled later than 10 days before departure, the full trip price will be charged.
If a booking deposit has already been paid and the customer cancels the trip before the cancellation fees come into effect, a minimum office fee of €50 or the deposit amount will be retained as a cancellation fee.
Concert, theater, or opera trips:
If the trip includes a concert, theater, or opera performance — either as a single-day event or part of a multi-day trip — the ticket price will be charged if the ticket has already been paid for and issued. Other related services will also be charged according to the cancellation terms for 1-day or 2-day (or longer) trips.
Cruises:
Cruises can be cancelled free of charge up to 31 days before the departure date. After that, 100% of the trip price will be charged as the cancellation fee.
Travel packages including flights:
If the travel package includes flights, the cancellation fees are as follows: Cancellations less than 50 days before departure: deposit will be charged.
49–40 days before departure: 50% of the trip price will be charged.
39–20 days before departure: 80% of the trip price will be charged.
Less than 20 days before departure: 100% of the trip price will be charged.
If the traveler does not cancel and fails to show up at the stated departure point, the full trip price will be charged.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance, including cancellation coverage, at the time of booking.
Pre-arranged groups:
For group bookings, the offer always states the final date for free cancellation for the entire reservation. If the reservation is cancelled after this deadline, the group is responsible for all costs incurred by the tour operator.
If the group size falls below the minimum number required for the quoted pricing, a separate agreement must be made, and the tour operator has the right to adjust the price per person.
Trip registration:
You can register for a trip by phone, email, or via the online booking system on our website. Payment can be made either as an online payment via online banking during booking, by invoice, or by following the provided payment instructions (due date, account number, and reference number will be communicated). If the trip is booked through the online system, we will always confirm the reservation via a separate email, after which the booking becomes valid.
At www.launokorpi.com, you can find the full itinerary for all available trips. Trips under €500 can be paid directly during booking by credit card or online banking. Trips over €500 will be invoiced in two installments (deposit and final payment). Payment instructions will be sent separately or can be found in the trip itinerary.
The customer is required to provide the following information when booking:
- Full name as it appears an official ID.
- Date of birth, if the trip includes ferry travel.
- Departure location.
- Any special dietary requirements.
If changes occur in the itinerary or the trip must be cancelled due to low participant numbers, Matka-Launokorpi is obligated to notify customers without delay. If the trip is cancelled by the tour operator, the customer is entitled to a full refund of any amount paid.
